Michelle Sturino
During this interview Michelle Sturino shares her powerful perspective concerning the lack of diversity within the sports radio industry in Canada. Michelle began her nearly 15 year journey in broadcasting at the University of Guelph Humber. During Sturnio’s career as a sports broadcaster and radio announcer she has worked with SportsNet The FAN 590, CityNews, TSN Radio 1050 and Sirius XM providing informative and entertaining sports coverage.
Shortly after recording this interview, Sturino resigned from her 8-year stint at Sirius XM NHL Network Radio, saying in a tweet, “whatever you think or believe about how far we have come as an industry/society in terms of equality simply isn’t true. Sexism and gender bias are still prominent.”
